  • To Kate - May 16, 2010 and any other sojourners, be aware that sometimes, people put off a certain vibe which can be interpreted as "Keep your distance from me". While I'm not saying that is the case here, it could be. LIke my Mom always told me, "If you ever find the perfect church... stay out of it 'cause you'll just mess it up!" The "Perfect Church" does not exist this side of Heaven. Ask yourself why did I go to church? Did I go for social acceptance and a warm fuzzy feeling? Or did I go to worship with fellow believers and hear God's message? One time visits to anyplace should not comprise a total grasp of all it has to offer. Furthermore, if you go into a church where there is not at least some form of "Spiritual warfare" going on, I'd say get out, that church is dead and no threat to the enemy. Did you ever stop to consider the enemy used your own hot buttons against you to keep you from going back to that church because he knows God almighty is moving, healing, growing and leading people to a deeper walk with Him? I don't go here but I have visited and may return because I enjoyed the deep sincerity of the desire I saw to be more like our Lord and Savior. Just something to think about. In Christ, Dave

The preaching was good, the music was fine, but the people were cold. During the "greet one another" portion of the service, several people did come to shake our hands but not a single one asked us if we were visiting, welcomed us, or engaged us in any conversation. At least two of those people that shook our hands were church elders and they didn't so much as look us in the eyes. We also felt some heavy spiritual warfare was going on here. Nothing concrete we could put a finger on, we were just very uncomfortable.
